family photography in northumberland

Family & Pet Portraits

Loud and Flashy photography specialise in contemporary, fun family photography in a safe, warm and dry studio environment - no rearranging your living room or braving the elements in your local park!

This style places the emphasis on you and your loved ones without the distraction of random backgrounds, or feeling self conscious posing in public parks and beaches.

From a single person, to the whole extended family, Loud and Flashy photography will produce bespoke artwork in their huge studio that you will admire for a lifetime!

Don't worry if you don't like having your photo taken, or don't think you're photogenic, our extensive experience means we know the best camera angles and best lighting techniques to make you all look amazing. We also retouch all of your images to remove any blemishes and ensure we get the perfect shot of your perfect family.

The sittings last for up to an hour, providing plenty of time for clothing changes to really let your family's character shine through! Feel free to bring along any toys or props that will tell your family's story.

Your preview images will be uploaded the same day for just you to see in the comfort of your own home. Unlike most other studios, we don't agree with bringing you back for a high pressure viewing and hard sell!

We can present your finished images any way you want including hand crafted frames, canvas wraps, acrylic blocks and practically anything else you can think of.

Your family will be able to treasure these keepsakes for generations to come - a framed portrait will never be technologically out of date!

Here at Loud and Flashy photography we understand that pets are just as much a part of the family as anyone else! So just like our family portraits we'll capture your pet's character as they run, jump or slither around the studio! Over the years we've photographed many pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, birds and even a horse in the studio, so your pet is in great hands. You're welcome to book your pet in for their own photo shoot or as part of a family shoot.

Our pricing is very affordable as we like our customers to come back again and again to keep their photos up to date. Portrait and Pawtrait sittings start at just £50 including a HUGE fully retouched 12"x8" photo mounted in a 16"x12" frame. Compare that to Venture and the other high-end studios up and down the country!

We also supply loose prints, digital downloads, canvas wraps, acrylic panels, framed products and anything else you can think of.

newborn photography in northumberland

Newborn Photography

Let us capture your new arrival while they're still tiny!

Our newborn photo shoots work best for babies up to two weeks old as they are still amenable to being posed. These special sessions allow plenty of time to feed and settle your little one, enabling us to pose them on minature beds and in baskets while using different blankets, backdrops and props to create stunning images.

We know just how precious your little one is and have years of experience with newborns, so your baby will be in safe hands throughout the session.

After the session you'll be sent a link to your preview images to view in the comfort of your own home.

Packages start at just £150 which includes:

3 hour studio photo session

A fully retouched 12"x8" print mounted in a 16"x12" frame.

Four different fully retouched 12"x8" loose prints.

To discuss and book your session call the studio as early as possible as we're normally booked a few weeks in advance and it's better to get newborn shoots done within the first two weeks!

And don't forget to come back for a Cake Smash on their 1st Birthday!

Framing

Once you've experienced the fun of your family photoshoot and chosen your preferred images, we will help you to find the perfect way for you to display them in your home.

We are proud that all of our stunning frames are hand crafted in the north east of England.

Our range includes stylish, contemporary mouldings as well as more traditional styles with an extensive choice of mount styles and colours to give a luxury look to your artwork.

Our framed products start at just £50 and we can offer interest free payment plans over 3 months.

We can also supply your artwork as loose prints to frame yourself. Unlike most studios in the north east we don't print our own images on an inkjet printer, instead we use the largest professional photo lab in the country. This ensures that your photos will look as good as the day you got them for future generations to admire.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Me and my family came here for our Christmas photos and I was really impressed. Simon the photographer was great as we were all nervous but he put us at ease and made us laugh through the whole experience. The quality of the pictures were amazing and I ended up ordering over 20 of them and a massive canvas. Definitely would recommend to all my friends.

Dominique Milligan

Excellent service brilliant prints. Can't fault Loud and Flashy at all! Thank you again.

Mr. & Mrs. Johnson

I booked a Loud and Flashy photoshoot for my daughter's 10th birthday. My daughter and her friends had an amazing time. The photoshoot was relaxed and it didn't take long for the girls to strike their favourite poses. The girls loved having their hair and makeup done. Food and games were provided too which was great as everything was sorted by Simon. The session was informal and fun with no pressure to hurry through it. We had hundreds of pics to choose from which was the only difficult thing! The quality of the photographs and the service were outstanding. I will definitely be booking another session.

Louise Robinson

Really enjoyed the shoot and was made to feel very relaxed and love the prints. Thank you very much!

Kylie Carr

Can't fault the service or the photos. Simon was really quick to respond with my request for times and questions. I took six 11 year old girls along for an end of year photo - girls all had a great time (changed outfits 3 times) and there were about 300 photographs sent to me that night. Finally decided on one (which was included in the price) and it and the copies were printed within a week. The photo was really great and would thoroughly recommend.

Allison McLean

We organised a photoshoot for our newborn with Simon at the studio. He was professional and gave us time to settle the baby during the three hour session. We are really happy with the photos taken, which were available to view within days, and were pleased that we had the opportunity to choose our favourite shots which Simon then edited. The prints were available in a timely fashion.

Dr. Swati Sheth

Over the moon with my canvas! Fantastic quality, thank you.

Wendy Baston

So we picked our images up from Simon at Loud And Flashy Photography yesterday and we're so in love with them, theyre gorgeous. We'll definitely be back in a few months for her sitting up and a couple of family shots

Stephanie French

Excellent service. Simon made my shy step daughter bring out her natural smile in the photoshoots we have had done. Offers great deals, especially the school uniform photoshoot and you get a much better service and quality of prints than the schools photographers provide. Thank you Simon.

Fay Fayers

Fantastic quality photos after not liking the school photos and missing the bounty woman in hospital, Simon was brilliant with the kids making them feel comfortable and laugh. He took plenty photos in different poses so we had plenty of choice. Highly recommended and we will be back again in future!

Sam Stewart

Fantastic prints and service, will definitely be using again

Naomi Charlton

Very efficient, polite and professional; I received the edited images just two days after the shoot, which is way earlier than I was expecting. Thank you for the hard work!

Elliott Woodward

We first discovered Loud and Flashy about 6 years ago. Since then we have been back each year to get photos of our family which we treasure, whether it has been school uniform shots, family shots, individual shots and extended family shots. Simon is very enthusiastic, friendly and makes my daughter feel at ease. He listens to what you want and also adds his own ideas/suggestions. There is no pressure which I appreciate after being to some photographers where you have to decide there and then which photos you like. The photos are emailed to you where you can decide in the comfort of your own home - the photos are excellent making decisions very hard!! I would definitely recommend Simon to help you create lasting memories of your family through his photography at an affordable price.

Kiersten Shield

We recently had our 2nd family portrait taken by Simon. He also took our 1st when our son was only 7 mths old, he's now almost 4. Simon not only takes great pictures, which we will treasure for ever, but has a relaxed studio & great way with kids, especially our son, who is very active & not one to sit still for very long. We'll definitely be back x

Tara Tunnicliffe

Great photographer, Simon has a wonderful rapport with customers and puts kids so at ease. Price for the school package is so much better than standard school issued photo pack. This is our second year using Loud & Flashy and family and friends now use the same place. Would not look elsewhere.

Sarah Freebody

Amazing service and very friendly! I'd recommend anyone to go for a photo shoot!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Thank you again for a fantastic photo shoot and an amazing canvas!! I love it!

Jordan Charles

We recently had our photos taken here and how amazing they were. Simon made us all feel at ease and my 4year old daughter loved having her photo taken. She was made to feel so at ease, and the photos surely show that! Thank you Loud and Flashy.

Lisa Fortune

Great photos, used a Groupon deal to retake our kids school photo as the ones from school were awful, Simon put our kids at ease and took some great shots, even edited the photo to take away my son's chapped lips. Would definitely recommend him and already have to a few people.

Mark Beckford

Wow wow Wow! Top class photographer on all levels. I've been twice now and cannot fault it. He's friendly, happy and professional and the results are amazing. I will definitely be going back and will recommend to all my family and friends.
